The Grand Hall — first floor, soft mood, intimate scale.
On our first floor, lighter in mood and gentler in scale than the Royale below. The Grand Hall is where the Maenzraat unfolds — wanwun rising through the night, the bride in her first pheran, mehendi cones moving from cousin to cousin. It is also the natural home for the engagement sit-down, the Phiri Saal lunch with the bride's side, and corporate dinners that want warmth over grandeur.

Why this space works
The thoughtful details that decide the day.
Warmer, softer room
Lower ceilings than the Royale, dimmer base lighting — designed for the long, joyful Maenzraat night rather than a grand reception.
Seats 250+
Plenty of room for the immediate and extended family. Mehendi stations along the perimeter, central dance floor.
Wanwun-ready acoustics
Built so the chorus carries — the women's voices, the dholak, the bride's aunt's solo verse — without a sound engineer fighting the room.
Direct bridal suite access
The Grand Hall opens to the bride's suite — she can step out, touch up the henna, change pherans, and step back in without a parade.

Questions, answered
About this space.
Can we host the Maenzraat in the Garden and the Walima in the Royale on the same booking?+
Yes — that is the most common booking pattern. Maenzraat on the Grand Hall in the evening, Nikah and Yini Wol the next day, Walima in the Royale the day after. One contract, one team, one continuous setup.
Do you arrange the wanwun chorus?+
We coordinate it. We work with a small set of Srinagar-based women's wanwun groups; share dates and tone in the enquiry and we'll suggest the right fit.
Is the Grand Hall used for daytime functions?+
Yes — the Phiri Saal lunch, engagement sit-down, corporate breakfast briefings. The room takes well to daylight given its lower scale.
