About Wanwun

A banquet address
built around the way Kashmir weds.

Wanwun was founded by a family that had run out of patience for venues which could host the Walima but not the Maenzraat — that knew the trami but not the tash-t-naer — that could seat 300 but had nowhere for the bride to change between functions. So we built our own.

Our promise

One family,
one wedding,
one weekend.

We hold only one wedding at a time, across both halls. That means the kitchens, the rooms, the staff and the timeline belong to your family for the full Maenzraat–Nikah–Walima arc. No overlap, no rushed turnover, no other family’s sehra showing up in your photographs.

A name from the wedding night

Wanwun is the chorus of folk songs Kashmiri women have sung at every wedding for centuries — through Maenzraat, into the bride's pheran change, all the way to the Walima. We chose the name because it carries the only thing we owe every family: that the night feels like a Kashmiri night.

A Wazwan held with care

Our in-house Wazas plate a full 36-trami Wazwan — Tabak Maaz, Rista, Rogan Josh, Aab Gosh, Methi Maaz, Yakhni, Goshtaba — and the head Waza himself walks the room to place the Goshtaba on each trami. Bringing your family Waza? We hand him our pantry and step aside.

Two halls, set for the chapter

The Royale for Yini Wol and Walima. The Garden for Maenzraat, the engagement, the Phiri Saal lunch. Each over 3,000 square feet, restrained in palette, soft in light — built so the bride's tilla pheran is the first thing every guest notices.

Rooms for the family

4–5 well-appointed rooms — a quiet suite for the bride's ghusl and pheran change, a room for the dulha and the sehra, and rest for relatives who have flown in from Delhi, Dubai, Jeddah or the UK.

Where to find us

Minutes from Srinagar International Airport.

A short drive from the runway. Easy on the cousins flying in from Delhi for the day, the aunts arriving for the wedding week from Dubai, and the family driving up from the Valley.

Plan a visit

Hold a date, the
family can decide later.

See live availability for both halls. Tentatively block your Maenzraat, Nikah and Walima for 48 hours while you check with the elders.
